Designing A Customizable Thank You Card

Follow along with instructor, Melanie Demmer, as you learn the steps to create an illustrated greeting card.  From brainstorming ideas to finding reference images and exploring colors to use in their final design - this workshop aims to be informative and fun!

Students will have the opportunity to customize aspects of their greeting card design to fit their interests and artistic style.  Though the demo will involve markers and colored pencils, other traditional mediums (such as paints or pastels) and digital drawing programs (such as Procreate or Adobe Photoshop) are also welcome. If working traditionally, the instructor suggests using a mixed media sketchbook or card stock paper to create their artwork.

Students should have their favorite drawing materials on hand.

• Paper and pencils, pens or markers, paints
• Or if you prefer digital painting tools.
