Capture the vibrant people and places that Detroit unique
in still images and video. Experiment with lighting and fashion models in the studio. Work with digital tools, music and sound effects to enhance your projects.
This is a good concentration if you see the world in a different light. Often want to preserve a moment in time. Recognize beauty in unlikely places. Want to capture street culture.
Detailed Description
Students will learn basic digital photography and film skills and create still and moving images that capture the beauty and excitement of the city. Students will learn the basic workings of their camera including the exposure triangle, shutter aperture and ISO. Camera light metering, file formats and white balance control will also be reviewed. There will be an introduction to Adobe Photoshop, Raw File Processing, Adobe Premiere Pro. Students will be exposed to critiques both of their work and others.
